Anneke has been an expressive stage animal since primary school. Growing up in Twente, she found a school in Almelo that spent a lot of time on creative subjects such as theater and music. Here she appeared in several musicals and plays, including the role of 'Iocaste' in Oidipous and in musicals such as Quasimodo and Hakuna Matata. The many full halls of the Theater Hotel and the freedom on stage ensured that her love for musical theater remained and was further stimulated, after which she continued playing during her studies.
First she played in Groningen with the theater association Theun in the tragicomedy 'Het Manuscript', in the following years in Amsterdam she took singing lessons and, in addition to her activities as a medical student and partner/trainer at VOF de Kunde, she took part in several musical and cabaret courses at CREA. In addition to her work at Nhar improvisation, she plays at De Theaterre republic.
In addition to being on stage herself, Anneke also gets a lot of satisfaction from training and guiding others. For example, as a teacher at Stichting de Baan in Haarlem, she has guided young people with intellectual disabilities in a theater course up to and including making a final presentation and she has given several theater/music lessons at NSGK Wigwamvakanties.
