Ever since I can remember I wanted to go to art school to be a photographer. But when I came into contact with film in my propaedeutic year, a world opened up for me. I immediately fell in love with the profession and in 1 day I decided that I wanted to study film and that might be the best decision I ever made.
During my education I developed a great passion for documentary films. This is because I believe that real life and real people are much more interesting and surprising than you can imagine. I think the best thing about making documentaries is that you come to people's homes or to places where you would otherwise not just come. To create a special visual story together with a crew. It is a way for me to explore everything that fascinates me.
After successfully completing the art academy in 2011, I worked for two years at the documentary film production company Zuidenwind Filmproductions.
Until I decided to fully focus on the camera profession and wanted to delve into an important part of it: light. In September 2013 I quit my house and my job in Breda and started the one-year light course at the film academy in Amsterdam. In addition to being a lighting assistant, I am currently working on various own film projects as a director and camerawoman.
