In 1987 I graduated from Curtin University in Perth, Western Australia with a Bachelor of Arts in Media and Cultural Studies with a major/specialization in 'Film and TV'. I then worked in Perth as a producer and director of corporate and instructional videos. In 1987 I returned to the Netherlands where I followed the course 'Television Productions' at the NOB. Subsequently, I started working at Joop van den Ende and later at the documentary production house Amber Film as a production manager.
From 1990 to 2012 I worked in various marketing and business development positions. But the blood is thicker than water and because of this I followed a Camjo training in 2013 to familiarize myself with the latest camera and editing techniques. Since then I have focused full time on my old love, making films and documentaries. I make many commissioned films for commercial companies, government and social organizations. As much as possible I will work as a one-man team. I direct, film and edit. For large or complex productions I work together with other professional colleagues from my own network.
