Under the flag of Macumba Film I make documentaries and write screenplays. I am interested in art, spirituality and the Second World War, and in particular the still intense psychological and social consequences of that horrific period. I live alternately in Berlin, Ireland and Amsterdam. I have a background in writing and journalism, including at NOS. From 1994-2008 I have been involved in technical writing and information design. Software company Sevensteps was also founded in that period. Since 2008 I have fully focused on writing and filming again. In 2011 I completed the two-year vocational training at the Script School in Amsterdam. Summer 2013 I finished a documentary about the German artist Klaus Steinke. This portrait shows how Steinke processed the horrors of Auschwitz in an incredibly large and personal work of art. In addition to camera work and editing, I have become more interested in photography,
