After graduating from the Department of Fine Arts at the Arnhem School of the Arts (1999-2003), Cindy Moorman completed the Master of Documentary Photography in Breda (2003-2005). In May 2006, she received a starting grant from the Fund for Visual Arts and Design. She currently lives and works in Amsterdam.
In her work she investigates the relationship between the individual and the community. From her registrations and analyses of moments and the setting of people coming together, her work takes shape and she creates worlds in which the relationship between the individual and the community becomes visible or tangible.
