IOV ART COMMISSION HEERHUGOWAARD
De Draai, currently an old piece of polder landscape in Heerhugowaard, will change into a residential area with approximately three thousand houses within ten years. This film shows how drastic change can be for the residents of the area. memory prevents a life without a trace, this document protects us from that.

New Holland is a film installation that explores the tension between the feasible and the turbulent landscape. unsuspecting bathers are basking in the sun. Our food is grown mechanically in the polder. however, the sea itself remains invisible. she lives outside the framework of our thinking. but we feel her sloshing, foaming and dancing.

IOV MUNICIPALITY OF AMSTERDAM
Our climate is changing, what can be done about that? The municipality of Amsterdam has the ambition to reduce CO2 emissions in the city by 40% by 2025 compared to 1990. The film discusses new initiatives and promising projects in the field of CO2 reduction in the Amsterdam region. companies portrayed include Port of Amsterdam, Ymere, Nuon, Cisco, Hotel de l'Europe, Aeb and Loyens & Loeff.

This portrait of a sick man draws a parallel between the fragility of human existence and the cyclical nature of withering and blossoming again. With subtle optimism, this film invites the viewer to reflect on themes such as love, transience and farewell and hits us where we would rather not be hit.

In 2007 I graduated from the St. Joost art academy in Breda, specializing in audiovisual design.
Since then I have been working from my studio in the Creative Factory in Rotterdam. The Creative Factory is an environment where creative entrepreneurs and artists work. From this environment I work on developing concept, direction and post-production of photography and film projects.
When working on commission, I like to think along from the concept phase. This way, forces and insights are bundled from the start. experience shows that this benefits the end result. form and content are then connected as much as possible. I also have no problem traveling or working on location abroad.
