My name is Vân Doan, 27 years old, born in Vietnam and living in the Netherlands for 26 years. Early 2014 I graduated from the HBO education Media & Entertainment Management. The past 2 years I lived in Curacao. Since the end of July 2015 I emigrated back to the Netherlands.
In Curacao I was given the opportunity to gain work experience in the film industry with Michel Drenthe of Caribbean Filmcom. Here I was able to work on both small and large productions. Clients such as Kaap Holland Film, Warner Bros (formerly Eyeworks), Papylon Pictures LLC (USA) and local companies in Curacao, ranging from (feature) films to commercials etc. From production assistant I was given the opportunity to grow into (ass) production manager. Tasks here are all physical aspects of the (film/photo) production including personnel (crew), technology, budget and planning, where my passion is mainly planning/organizing.
