In 2011 I graduated from the Utrecht School of the Arts where I studied Audiovisual Media. I knew pretty quickly that I wanted to specialize in camera work, specifically for documentaries. For my graduation film, Het Levenshuis, I went to Russia with two fellow students, Bas Galesloot and Anja Gulevich, for a month to shoot a film about the adventures of Serge, a drug-addicted young man from Novosibirsk, the capital of Siberia.

After our education Bas and I started the company Rabarber Producties together. Our work, including Het Levenshuis, can be found on www.rabarberproducties.nl.
