about me
My name is Hugo de Graaf and I was born on May 13, 1983
I grew up in the fishing village of Spakenburg and now live in my hometown Amersfoort.
I followed the social pedagogical worker training because I like to work with people in a creative and inspiring way.
I have been working in elderly care as an activity supervisor since 2002...
and specialized in dealing with elderly people with dementia.
In my work and private life I am often looking for the stories behind people. I have written a few books that focus on these stories. I won the Culture Prize in 2009 with one of my books.
I loved acting from an early age. Together with my brother I made films based on television programmes. This also sparked my interest in TV acting. I have already had the opportunity to appear in a number of TV series, in a film, in the theater play Zeg 'ns AAA and I played in a reconstruction by Peter R. De Vries.
I started acting with some theater groups. From 2005 to 2013 I played in an improvisation theater group.
In 2014 I was given the opportunity to follow the film/TV acting course at De Trap in Amsterdam. An educational experience that we can hopefully use in a next film or TV role. I think the best thing about acting is that as an actor in a certain role you can create something that appeals to people.
