about me
I am a 26 year old freelance film programmer and archivist from Amsterdam. I specialize in preserving and presenting film, and also work as a film journalist and as a member of the selection committee of a film festival (Movies that Matter in The Hague, annually in March). I specialize in human rights and in describing highly sensitive, confidential material. I recently did an internship in the media archive of the non-profit organization WITNESS, which is dedicated to training human rights activists worldwide to defend their rights through audiovisual documentation (recording human rights violations). I also work as a film journalist and researcher, and have started two film festivals myself, of which I am director and head of programming: the Cinema al Kolenkit open air film festival (June 2012) and the Margot Tenenbaum Film Festival (November 2012).
