Studied English Language and Literature at the University of Utrecht. After my studies I focused on translation work and in 1995 followed a course as a subtitler. I worked for 25 years for the documentary festival IDFA and then for the International Film Festival Rotterdam, Netherlands Film Festival, Holland Animation Film Festival and other organizations in the film industry. Sometimes I work as a subtitler directly for filmmakers and producers.
