Annegriet Wietsma is ilmmaker and publicist since rounding off her studies in Pedagogic Science at the University of Amsterdam. She has films in widely diverging genres to her name and has written several books and articles. She is workshop trainer of Oral History Interview techniques and guest teacher of Film in higher education.

- Documentary ‘Sozdar’, about one of the female leaders of the Kurdish resistance movement PKK. This film was screened on many international film festivals.
- Direction & production of the international doc Just People for the organisation Humanity in Action. Just People is a film essay about the delicate balance between group behaviour and individual moral responsibility.
- Currently working on the transmedia project www.warlovechild.org, wich resulted in the feature length documentary Sir Daddy (Tuan Papa). This project is about the unknown stories of the withhold children of Dutch militaries, who fathered a child with Indonesian girls during the colonial war 1945–1949.
