Just People explores the challenges and complexities of being an independent individual while cooperating in a social group. This inquiry is considered in relation to the Holocaust and the phenomenon of bystanders who do not want to get involved. How not to be a bystander? Would you dare to stand out fromt the crowd - from your crowd? Afther the Holocaust, postwar generations kept asking themselves: What would I have done, living there and then? This film looks for answers to this haunting question in the present rather than in the past: How do I behave today, now and here, in a group, and as an indivual? 'Just People' connects past and present in a ravishing global fabric of images and thoughts, leaving the final question to the audience: what would you like to be, a just person or just a person?
