Een Enkeltje Bussum (2011)

Rajeev is een 12-jarige jongen die woont in Bussum, maar is geboren in India. Hij is geadopteerd. Daardoor lijkt hij uiterlijk helemaal niet op zijn Hollandse blonde familie, maar voor zijn vader en moeder hoort hij er toch helemaal bij. Doordat hij al sinds zijn 2de in Nederland woont weet hij zich nauwelijks iets te herinneren van India. Rajeev is erg nieuwsgierig naar zijn geboorteland en wil graag een keertje terug. Maar zijn ouders vinden hem daar nu nog wat te jong voor. Uit angst om zijn roots te vergeten ontstaat de wens bij Rajeev om zo snel mogelijk terug te vliegen naar zijn geboorteland. Maar hoe vraag je dat eigenlijk aan je ouders?

But for his parents, he’s as big a part of the family as his blonde sister. Because he’s been in The Netherlands ever since he was two years old, he barely remembers anything from India. Rajeev is very curious en wants to travel back to his native. But his parents think he might be too young to go.Not wanting to forget h is background, he longs to return as soon as possible to his home country. But will he be able to persuade his parents to grant him this wish?
