I Am The Monster is a short fiction film (by Nick ter Beek) of approximately 25 minutes in the thriller/psychological drama genre. The film follows two young women, Sanne and Eva, who are pursued by a group of men on a deserted country road after a night out. What begins as a recognizable situation of insecurity in a public space develops into a gripping psychological story. Sanne is thrown back to memories of the disappearance of her sister Mia, for which she holds herself responsible. As past and present intertwine, she is forced to act – without knowing whether she breaks the cycle or perpetuates it.

The film addresses socially urgent themes: street harassment, gender relations, trauma, and moral ambiguity. The central question is: when does someone become the monster they fear? By telling the story from Sanne’s subjective experience—non-linearly, with flashbacks that are emotionally triggered—the viewer is not only offered information but is actually placed within the experience.

We are looking for a content creator who enjoys helping to build a thrilling, psychological film production from the sidelines. You will be jointly responsible for creating, planning, and managing social content, with a focus on Instagram.

Concrete tasks could be:

Creating behind-the-scenes content during preparations and in consultation during shooting days;
Produce short videos, photos, and reels that capture the atmosphere of the film;
Help set up and execute the social media plan for June, July, and August;
Optionally record interviews and mini-portraits with crew/cast members;
Devise creative formats that promote the film without spoilers;
Collaborate with the director and producer to maintain the right tone and style.

A proactive maker who sees opportunities and takes immediate action;
Someone who thinks practically, adapts quickly, and works independently;
You have a good feel for what works on Instagram and how to build tension;
You can film and edit at a basic level (smartphone or camera);
You are good with social media
