Captains is a non-fiction studio working for streamers, broadcasters, advertisers, and corporates. We produce documentaries, TV shows, and feature films, as well as films for corporates and advertisers. This position focuses entirely on our corporate and branded work.

You are someone who makes images tangible for the viewer. Someone who looks at images and immediately gets creatively itching hands! Even if, initially, it is “only” about an interview!?

Then we are looking for you! We have a position open for a creative editor!

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
You are creative, independent, and have a feel for visuals, rhythm, and storytelling. You look beyond a rigid timeline. You know how to bring an edit to life, think outside the box, and understand that a good video goes beyond simply preparing an edit neatly. You are not only strong in editing, but you also have an affinity for filming. You actively contribute content-wise from concept to delivery. You can shoot footage yourself and then know how to turn it into a strong, unique, and surprising montage. You are technically skilled, but above all, creatively strong. Someone who can handle freedom, works independently, and gets energy from creating.

Job requirements / profile
WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO?
- Editing videos, from social content to assistance with larger documentaries;
- Contributing ideas for creative concepts and visual styles;
- Alternating between filming yourself during shoots;
- Processes (own) images and elevates them to a higher level;
- Working on final products that stand out and positively surprise the customer;
- Data handling.

WHAT TO BRING:
- (Extensive) experience with Premiere Pro;
- (Extensive) experience with After Effects;
- Interest in camerawork and storytelling;
- Sense of pace, design, and visual composition;
- A creative eye and the drive to do things just a little differently;
- A proactive attitude;
- At least 3 years of experience is a plus, but we are also open to talent that really stands out.
- You have an affinity for structured working and strictly monitor your own schedule.
