Cast-Call – Short Film “Margins of the Inevitable”
Logline:A reality rewritten, where change is no longer inevitable.

Synopsis
Margins of the Inevitable follows Mikey, a witty and imaginative boy navigating the seemingly unavoidable divorce of his parents. Obsessed with order and routine, he clings to familiar habits to stay calm. His mysterious lifelong imaginary friend, Everett, who has the appearance of an adventurous businessman, offers him a notebook that promises a way to restore the love between his parents by rewriting their memories. Desperate, Mikey revisits painful memories of their conflicts and rewrites them into moments of warmth and positivity. Soon, reality shifts into a picture perfect family life, but something feels deeply wrong. His parents act hollow, and Everett is regarded as real, even acknowledged as their other son. Mikey realizes he has lost his flawed but genuine parents, and must undo what he has written and sever his tie with Everett.

We are searching for a:

Teenager: Mikey male acting age (13-20 years old) leading role
Mikey is a sensitive and imaginative teenager who uses creativity and fantasy as a safe escape from an overwhelming reality. After briefly finding connection and belonging through friendships, he struggles as those relationships fade and his fear of change intensifies. Now withdrawn and guarded, he clings to the past while quietly struggling to face the emotions and reality he fears.
