My name is Cris Wassenaar, a third-year student at the St. Joost School of Art & Design. I am looking for an enthusiastic MUA(H) who wants to help bring the Androids to life in the science fiction film 'GODS'!

With this film, we would like to tell a story about rediscovering the power of togetherness in a world where everyone seems more focused on themselves.

Synopsis:
'GODS' is set in the 30th century, in which humanity has left Earth due to a looming black hole. The only beings remaining are humanoid, man-worshipping Androids.

Raba and Bee are part of the last remaining Androids on Earth; in a race against time, they must reach an extraction point. When they are forced to traverse a gigantic field filled with discarded Androids along the way, Raba's blind love for her human creators comes into direct conflict with a bitter reality.

What do we offer?
We offer a crew consisting of both student filmmakers and professionals. Additionally, we provide catering and overnight accommodation between filming days. We can also explore the possibilities regarding travel expenses and reimbursement for necessary equipment. Naturally, we offer the opportunity to work on a special project!

Description
Visually, we are looking for an expressive, distinctive style similar to the work of Tim Burton and Guillermo Del Toro. In terms of look, we want the Androids to appear uncanny/creepy at first glance, but the longer we look at them, the more human, relatable, and even pitiful they appear. Upon contact, I would be happy to share some inspirational images as a basis for the unique look I hope to design together.

Job requirements / profile
Using makeup (and, if specializing in hairstyling), we want Raba and Bee to look exhausted, as if they have been living outdoors for months (think pale skin and bags under the eyes). We also want to work with the discarded Androids, characters that have been lying still in the same spot for so long that nature has completely taken over. Earth pollution, damaged skin, and vegetation play a major role in realizing this effect. Finally, where possible, we want to combine practical makeup with visual effects to make the idea of these discarded Androids as realistic and convincing as possible. To achieve this, we will need to add blue screen patches to the design.
