The shoot for our short film "Destination Reaches" is over! The footage is in the can, and we're incredibly excited. Now we're ready for the next, crucial phase: post-production. This is a passion project, and we're looking for driven editors, colorists, and sound designers who want to use their talents to create a stunning addition to their portfolio. What is 'Destination Reached' about?
The film follows Arman and Ali, two friends with a shared goal but very different expectations. Their drug-fueled road trip goes differently than planned, leading to unexpected confrontations and moments of connection. It's a character-driven travelogue about friendship, disappointment, and ultimately finding your own path. Description
Who are we looking for?

Editor (Editing)

You are the storyteller who brings the dynamic between Arman and Ali to life. You determine the rhythm of their journey and the emotional charge of their confrontations.

You work comfortably with Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro or DaVinci Resolve.

You have a sense of timing and character development.

Colorist (Color Editing)

You give the journey its visual soul. From the vibrant colors at the beginning to the more subdued tones as the story progresses, you set the mood.

You have experience with color grading software, preferably DaVinci Resolve.

You understand how color can support the emotional journey of the characters.

Sound Designer (& Possibly Composer)

You bring Arman and Ali's world to life. From the sounds of the road and nature to the tense silence between them.

Sound Design: You are responsible for all sounds: ambiance, Foley, and dialogue cleanup.

Composition (A big plus!): Are you also comfortable with music? We'd love to hear if you could compose the subtle soundscape or music for the film.

Job requirements / profile
1. Editor (Editing)

What do we offer?: The opportunity to shape the heart of the story. You decide the rhythm, the emotional buildup, and the character dynamics. You'll have a lot of creative freedom.

Your duties:

Import and organize all raw image and sound files.

Performing a rough cut based on the script and stage directions.

Refine to a fine cut where timing, continuity and emotion are central.

Work closely with the director and incorporate feedback.

Providing a picture-lock version for the colorist and sound designer.

Your Profile:

Experience with editing software (Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro or DaVinci Resolve).

An eye for story structure, rhythm and character development.

You are a team player, have good communication skills and are available for (online) feedback sessions.

A showreel or examples of previous editing work is a must.

2. Colorist (Color Editing)

What do we offer?: The opportunity to create the visual soul of the film. You determine the color tones that support and enhance the characters' emotional journey.

Your duties:

Creating a base look (LUT) for the entire film.

Color correction to ensure a consistent look across all shots.

Creative color grading to emphasize mood, time of day, and emotion in each scene.

Close coordination with the director about the desired visual style.

Delivering the final colored image files in the correct resolution.

Your Profile:

Experience with color grading software, preferably DaVinci Resolve.

Knowledge of color theory and how color influences emotion and narrative.

Access to a well-calibrated screen.

A showreel or examples of your color grading work are required.

3. Sound Designer (& Composer)

What do we offer?: A crucial and challenging role. Because sound is half of the film experience, we offer plenty of room for experimentation and creativity in building the sound layer.

Your duties:

Sound Design: Building a complete soundscape: ambiance (ambient sounds), foley (footsteps, actions) and any creative sound effects.

Dialogue Edit: Clean up and optimize the recorded dialogue (noise reduction, equalizing).

Audio Mixing: Balancing all sound layers (dialogue, effects, music) into a coherent and powerful whole.

Composition (Optional, but highly recommended): Composing original music that enhances the emotions and themes of the film.

Your Profile:

Experience with a Digital Audio Workstation (DAW) such as Pro Tools, Logic Pro, Ableton Live or Reaper.

An eye for detail and a good ear for atmosphere and balance.

(For composition) Knowledge of orchestration and creating emotion with music.

Examples of your sound design (and possibly composition) work are essential.
