My name is Ruben Tap, and I'm in my third year of the Audiovisual Specialist program in Arnhem, along with five other film students. We're currently working on a short film. Our film has a maximum length of 12 minutes, so it's a true short film. The (working) title is "De Terugkeer" (The Return), and below is a brief description of the story.

The Return tells the story of two estranged brothers who reunite after (many) years to settle their father's inheritance. When they reunite, they discover he has left behind a mysterious machine. There, Joost and Alexander are confronted with an absurd possibility.

What do we offer?
It is an unpaid student production, we arrange catering on the shooting days and we can discuss travel expenses.

Description
For our film we are looking for actors / an actress for the following 4 roles.

- Joost (between 30 and 50 years old)
Joost is the slightly younger brother of his brother Alexander. Joost is a sociable and funny family man, but hidden behind the jokes is a painful childhood feud with his brother Alexander, which has driven the brothers apart.

- Alexander (between 30 and 50 years old)
Alexander is Joost's older adopted brother. Alexander had a very close relationship with his adoptive mother, but when she died and his father devoted himself to his work, Alexander lost his way. He devoted himself to his work as a way out, but a heated argument with Joost led him to gradually lose touch with the family.

- Notary (between 40 and 60 years old)
The notary can be played by either a man or a woman. The notary informs Joost and Alexander about the inheritance.

- Father (between 30 and 50 years old)
The father is a good man, he has a pleasant warmth in his interactions with his sons and has their best interests at heart.

Casting is by means of a self-tape.
