We are participating in the 48 Hour Film Project Amsterdam 2025, taking place October 17–19. In just one weekend, our team will write, shoot, and edit a short film. We are a semi-professional group of filmmakers passionate about storytelling, and we are looking for a Sound recorder to join our crew.

Description
A motivated and reliable sound recorder who can set up, adjust, and manage sound equipment with minimal prep time. Experience is welcome, but not required; enthusiasm, teamwork, and readiness to learn on set are just as important.

Job requirements / profile
- Capturing Clean Dialogue. Ensures all spoken lines are recorded clearly during fast-paced shooting, using boom mics, lavaliers, and proper mic placement despite time pressure.
- Managing Equipment Quickly. Sets up, tests, and troubleshoots sound gear (mixers, recorders, mics, cables) efficiently with minimal prep time.
- Monitoring Sound Quality in Real Time. Continuously listens for unwanted noise (wind, traffic, crew chatter) and communicates with the director/DP if adjustments are needed to protect audio.
- Organizing and Delivering Files. Labels, backs up, and hands over clean audio files at the end of each shoot day so the editor can work smoothly under the strict 48-hour deadline.
- Be available for the full 48HFP weekend
