Catching the Wind is a 40-minute short film written and directed by Abdul Rahim Jalloh. The story follows Nathan (18, reputation-conscious and insecure) and Milo (17, thrill-seeker on the verge of criminality) during a nighttime chase through Almere. What begins as a conflict over a phone transforms into a journey of discovery about vulnerability, identity, and interconnectedness.

The film's thematic focus is on social pressure, masculinity, emotions, and the influence of social media. The visual concept combines professional lighting with city lights (where color serves as a metaphor for the characters' emotional states), numerous spatial shots to evoke a sense of lostness, and a nostalgic film grain. The music will consist of melodic piano compositions that amplify the emotional charge.

Living in (near) Almere is useful, but not a requirement.
