Assistant Camera (AC)

We are a passionate and collaborative team working on an independent short film set in the vibrant city of Amsterdam. This is a volunteer-based passion project, ideal for someone looking to work in a professional and creative environment while contributing to a visually driven story.

This project is fully Funded by us and unfortunately, don't have the budget to compensate. Our total budget was spent on the equipment we are using (Arri Alexa 35) and it's components together with Transportation to Germany, Props and catering.

Description
We’re currently seeking a dedicated Assistant Camera (AC) to support our Director of Photography Thomasweber.nl and Camera Department throughout the production. The AC is a crucial role, helping to keep the shoot running smoothly by managing camera equipment, pulling focus, and supporting the DP in capturing the visual style of the film.

Job requirements / profile
Key Responsibilities:

Assist the Director of Photography and Camera Operator on set.
Pull focus during takes (if experienced/required).
Set up and break down camera gear, lenses, and accessories.
Organize and manage media cards and data wrangling (if needed).
Slate scenes and maintain detailed camera notes when needed.
Support with battery charging, lens changes, and gear transport.
Ensure camera gear is kept safe and in working condition throughout the shoot.
