For a graduation research at the Hanze University of Applied Sciences Groningen I am working on a short film that should make parents aware of the effect of poor vision in children. The film shows in a recognizable and empathetic way how visual poverty can influence the development and learning ability of a child.

The project is part of a broader awareness campaign and is being developed in collaboration with Vision 2020, Kinderhulp and Brillenbus, among others.

The film will be produced by a small, motivated crew and will be used online as well as at events and in schools.

We are looking for people who want to commit to a socially relevant project, with a professional but relaxed working atmosphere on set.

Description
For this project we are looking for a sound person with some experience who wants to take care of the sound during two shooting days (approximately 09:00 – 17:00). We are working with a MixPre-6, Sennheiser lavaliers and a shotgun mic.

You will be part of a small, committed crew on a set with a relaxed but serious atmosphere. Travel expenses will be reimbursed, plus any small payment. Catering is arranged.

Job requirements / profile
Activities:

Recording clear and interference-free sound on set (dialogues & ambient noise)
Setting up and operating the MixPre-6 recorder
Working with Sennheiser lavaliers and a shotgun mic
Positioning the boom mic or lavaliers if necessary
Monitoring sound quality during shooting
Collaborate with director and camera for optimal audio setup

Job requirements:

Some experience with location sound for film shooting
Familiar with (or quickly familiar with) the MixPre-6 and Sennheiser equipment
Being able to handle recording equipment responsibly
Ability to work independently and solution-oriented on set
Available on both shooting days (09:00 – 17:00)
