For the production of the short film 'Waterval' we are looking for a passionate make-up artist. 'Waterval' is a psychological crime thriller with coming-of-age elements and is produced independently. The film explores themes such as freedom, control and the appeal of risk. The style is raw and dynamic, with a non-linear narrative and intense action sequences.

Logline: Three restless youngsters accidentally end up in criminal waters because of their IT experience. As soon as they seize this opportunity, reality takes on strange forms.


About us: We are Merel and Ruben, two filmmakers with a deep passion for cinema. Merel focuses on the story-technical aspects and direction, while Ruben specializes in film techniques, such as camera and lighting. Together we join forces to bring 'Waterval' to life: a film about young people and cybercrime, a story that has not yet been told, but that everyone should see. With this production we not only want to make an impact, but also take the next step in the film world - the place where we belong and want to develop ourselves fully.

What do we offer?
This is a low budget production, but we offer an inspiring set experience, travel allowance, kit allowance and on-location catering. The film is intended for film festivals and portfolio building.

Description
We are looking for a make-up artist (in training), or someone with passion and eagerness to learn for make-up, preferably from the Leiden area and surroundings (20km). In this role you will do the make-up of the cast and your talents will come in handy during the action scenes. Are you someone who wants to gain more experience in (SFX) for film, then we would like to have you on our team!

Job requirements / profile
Experience is nice, but enthusiasm, passion and commitment are the most important.
You are available on the agreed shooting days and can work well together. And most importantly: you want to gain experience.
