We are looking for an ART DEPARTMENT intern for the film GET USED TO IT.

The Dutch feature film Get Used to It is based on the bestseller of the same name by Maike Meijer (known for Toren C) and offers a raw, humorous perspective on menopause – a phase in life that almost all women go through, but which is rarely openly discussed. Maike Meijer – who is both the author of the book and the screenwriter, lead actor and creative driving force behind the film – drew on her own experiences for the story.

In Get used to it, actress M. loses her regular role in a police series and is given a new challenge: mood swings, hot flashes and emotional outbursts - especially towards her listless teenage son and sweet but not very exciting husband. Determined, she tries to reinvent herself and prove that she still has a future.

The film is directed by Albert Jan van Rees (Toren C, Klem, BuZa), produced by Keplerfilm (Buladó, Pink Moon, Hoofdzaken) and released by distributor Dutch FilmWorks. Filming starts in March 2025 and the film will be released in theaters later this year.

Barbara Westra is the production designer of the film.

We are looking for a creative intern with a passion for film (design) and a good eye for detail. You are flexible, can adapt quickly to changes and enjoy working in a team. You have good communication skills and are always ready to lend a hand where necessary.

Job requirements / profile
The intern helps with the preparations, with researching and searching for (hand) props, with dressing and undressing sets and very occasionally during the shooting as an extra set dressing assistant.
