Studio Ruba is the production house of producers Layla Meijman and Maarten van der Ven. With a deep faith in the power of collaboration, they focus on developing and producing cinematographic films, creative documentaries and high-end series with a select group of filmmakers. Their goal is to move, excite and broaden the audience's perspective with innovative stories.

What do we offer?
From February 2025 we have room for an enthusiastic intern for at least 4 days a week at our office, located in the Moving Arts Centre Amsterdam in Noord (great view over the IJ included). We offer you the opportunity to come into contact with the different facets of the film production profession under involved guidance. You will become part of a small team and come into contact with various makers.
In addition, there is room to explore your own interests and learning goals within the internship.

The internship comes with a market-conform internship allowance.

ACTIVITIES
As an intern, you will support producers in the various phases of ongoing film productions. You will be given various responsibilities and tasks, including:

- Preparing documents for, among other things, subsidy applications.

- Translating texts from ENG to NL and vice versa.

- Reading scripts and potential new projects.

- Participate in developing festival strategies.

- Maintaining and submitting films to film festivals.

- Carrying out organizational activities related to the release and promotion of our films.

- Conduct research for ongoing projects.

- Maintaining social media and website

- General office duties.

Job requirements / profile

- Someone who is following a higher professional education/university education within the creative/media/cultural sector.

- Someone with a passion for film.

- Someone with an eye for makeup.

- Someone who has good communication and social skills.

- Someone who is assertive and not afraid to show initiative.

- Someone who can maintain an overview and keep several balls in the air at the same time.

- Someone who is interested in being involved in all phases of the film production process; from script development to production and release.
