Become the Heartbeat of Poetry on the Sidewalk: Coordinate, Create and Inspire!

Poetry on the Sidewalk is a unique art project that transforms public space into a stage for poetry and calligraphy. Poems appear in unexpected places in the city – think of sidewalks, flower boxes and walls – that enrich the daily environment and invite passers-by to wonder and reflect.

The goal? To make art accessible to everyone, regardless of age, background or social status. This year we bring the magic of words to Amsterdam West, in close collaboration with local spoken word artists, entrepreneurs and neighbours. Together we create a vibrant and meaningful project that brings the power of poetry and visual art to the fore in the urban context.

This is more than an art project; it is an encounter between people, stories and the city itself.

What are you going to do?
- Project coordination: You plan, organize and execute, from idea to implementation.
- Communication & PR: You create and distribute stories about the project, involving both the press and the public.
- Network management: You maintain contact with makers, partners and residents of Amsterdam West.
- Aftercare: You ensure a smooth completion and documentation of the project.
