THE BEAFFECTION

A masked man is hired to beat up a muscular con artist on camera and force a confession. When the con artist bursts into tears, he strikes a deal to redo the fight without tears and thus save his macho image.

This will be a black comedy of no more than six minutes about macho behavior and humiliation on camera. The film takes place entirely in a parking garage.

I am Oscar Keyser, a director and screenwriter with a few short films under my belt. Additionally, I have experience as a co-producer on my own films. A script for DE AFRANSELING is ready, and I am working on the film plan.

What we offer
A collaboration in which you are involved as a producer from the application stage, with room for your ideas regarding the development and approach of the film.

Upon selection, De Ontmoeting offers €10,000 in funding and content guidance by a production partner from the film industry.

In addition, I would like to explore additional funding together, for example at the AFK, where my projects have previously received grants. This way, we can create more room for fair compensation for everyone involved. I would also love to hear your ideas on this.

We determine the producer remuneration in consultation and include it in the budget. Payment is subject to the awarding of financing.

I am looking for a producer who is enthusiastic about DE AFRANSELING and wants to develop and realize the project together with me. We will submit the plan together to De Ontmoeting. Both experienced and novice producers who want to take the next step with this process are welcome.

Period
Start preparing the application as soon as possible. The deadline for De Ontmoeting is 8 November 2026.

If selected, the intention is to realize the film together in 2027.

Job requirements / profile
Contribute ideas regarding the development and approach of the film from the application stage.

In the short term, this involves drafting a budget, a production schedule, and a brief producer vision. Upon selection, we will collaborate on the further development, additional financing, and realization of the film.
