Untitled romantic comedy short film.

Logline: A panicked, morning-after confrontation between two lifelong friends turns into a chaotic game of hide-and-seek when the guy's heartbroken sister crashes the apartment.

Tone & Style: A character-driven romantic comedy balancing raw, vulnerable romantic tension with high-energy physical comedy and sharp, naturalistic humor, set against a vibrant, sun-drenched visual aesthetic inspired by Mamma Mia! (2008).

Production Level: Professional low budget. This film is being produced with an experienced crew and is targeted specifically for a film festival run.

Description
We are looking for a hands-on and organized 1st AD to help bring the production together on set.

This is a small, collaborative production, so we are looking for someone who communicates clearly, stays calm under pressure, and is comfortable being hands-on when things change on set.

Experience as a 1st AD on short films, commercials, or narrative productions is preferred. Experience working on low-budget productions is a plus.

Period
Filming Window: October 16 – December 19, 2026 (Exact dates TBD)
Time Commitment: 2 to 3 consecutive filming days over a single weekend (Friday through Sunday)

Job requirements / profile
You will work closely with the director and producer to build and maintain the shooting schedule, coordinate cast and crew, manage set timing and transitions, and help keep the shoot running safely and efficiently.
