The Vlietzone neighborhood is a place where rich and poor live side by side. There is always something going on, and conviviality and crime exist side by side. Jelle lives in this neighborhood, a teenager who is having a hard time at home and is in danger of going further and further down the wrong path. Rayan, the local barber, is trying to build a new life after serving a prison sentence. De Leeuw, a hardened criminal who has held the neighborhood in his grip for years, sees Jelle as his next prey. New to the neighborhood is Sara, an ambitious but still somewhat naive social worker. As she gets to know the residents, her concern for Jelle grows. She seeks help from Rayan, with whom a special bond slowly develops. Meanwhile, tensions rise, and an inevitable confrontation with De Leeuw seems to be drawing ever closer.

The film is an exciting story full of action, but also makes room for humor, romance, and relatable moments from everyday life. This is the framework of the story. Because we are making the film together with the neighborhood, there is plenty of room for residents' ideas, and we want to give as many people as possible a role. This way, the entire neighborhood can literally become part of this special production.
