When teenagers commit a crime and are arrested, they deserve fair treatment and appropriate help with any problems they may be facing, such as domestic violence. We aim to contribute to this through our research, and you can help.
In our research at the Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam, we conduct video shooting of acted interviews between employees of the Child Protection Council or Juvenile Probation Service and arrested youths. We have real employees of the Council or Juvenile Probation Service review these acted interviews. Based on this, they estimate the problems the youth experiences in life and the likelihood that the youth will commit another crime. The aim of the research is to promote equal treatment of youths within the juvenile criminal justice system.

What we offer

Description
For this coming Sunday, July 5, we are looking for a white male actor to play the role of a youth (15-18 years old) who holds far-right views and has been arrested for involvement in far-right riots (e.g., vandalism). (Of course, you do not need to hold these views yourself to play the role.) We will be filming a music video in which the youth is interviewed by an employee of the Child Protection Council about his life (home situation, how things are going at school, who the youth's friends are, etc.). The interview will therefore focus on the youth's world. We ask that you do not utter racist remarks during the shoot.

- You will receive information in advance about the fictional crime, the young person's background, and the interview questions.
You can choose to improvise or work with a script.
- Bring an appropriate outfit for the teenager you are playing.
