SYNOPSIS

Description
We are looking for a production sound mixer to oversee and record location sound throughout the production.

Our team has a strong background in directing, cinematography, and production design. We are therefore looking for an experienced sound professional who can take ownership of the location sound workflow and bring their expertise to the project.

Responsibilities include recording dialogue on set, monitoring audio quality, advising on sound-related production considerations, and helping establish a practical sound workflow for the film.

As production will take place across multiple shooting periods between July and September 2026, we are open to discussing flexible arrangements. This may include sharing responsibilities with additional sound professionals where appropriate. Payment and other arrangements may also be discussed depending on experience, equipment, and availability.

Applicants should have experience with narrative filmmaking and access to their own professional sound recording equipment.

Period
Shooting will take place on selected dates throughout the production period rather than continuously. Dates will be scheduled based on cast, crew, and location availability. We are therefore open to flexible arrangements and shared responsibilities where appropriate.

Job requirements / profile
Requirements
Experience recording dialogue for narrative productions (short films, features, series, etc.)
Access to a professional location sound package (field recorder, boom microphone, wireless lavaliers, monitoring equipment, accessories)
Ability to work independently and take ownership of the sound department during production
Strong understanding of dialogue recording techniques and location sound workflows
Good communication and collaboration skills
Based in the Netherlands or able to work locally
Availability for at least a portion of the production period (July–September 2026)
