The 48 Hour Film Project is a fast-paced, international filmmaking competition where teams write, shoot, and edit a short film in just 48 hours. On Friday evening, teams receive a designated genre and required elements (a specific character, prop, and line of dialogue) that must be included. The finished short film must be handed in strictly by Sunday evening for a public cinema screening and jury evaluation.

We are looking for an enthusiastic Best Boy (Camera / Lighting) to join our crew for the 48 Hour Film Project Rotterdam edition!

Functie eisen / profiel
As our Best Boy (Camera / Lighting), you will be the right hand to our DP. You’ll play a key role in keeping the camera and lighting workflow running smoothly and efficiently throughout a fast-paced shoot day.

Assisting with setting up modifiers, and diffusions quickly between takes. Keep equipment organized, secure, and easily accessible.
Assist the cameraman when needed with lens changes, battery management, and gear transport.
Anticipate the next shot, helping the team switch setups seamlessly to save crucial time.

We Are Looking For basic to intermediate experience with lighting gear and general camera rigs.
Quick-thinking, proactive, and calm under tight time constraints.
Knowledge of basic set safety.
